This workshop place has been reserved for Anna.
An all day sterling silver and semi-precious stone workshop suitable for beginners and those with some experience of silversmithing.
This workshop will teach you how to bezel set a flat backed cabochon stone on a pendant, as shown by the example designs pictured here. Topics covered will include measuring and cutting the silver bezel, soldering, filing, sanding, designing and cutting a base plate for your stone, texturing sheet metal, fixing a bail and polishing as well as actually setting the stone. You will also take home with you information sheets covering the points discussed during the day and the tools, materials and equipment that you would need to set stones at home.
The photos show examples of the styles of jewellery that this workshop will cover, and you will be encouraged to design your own pendant. The price includes all the materials you will need and use of tools. A range of cabochons will be available, but if there is a particular type of stone that you would like to use then please contact me to discuss this. Equipment and refreshments are provided but please bring your own lunch!
