This tree necklace, and it's sister "
Turquoise Tree", is a unique
piece.
A beautiful large irregular Iranian turquoise cabochon, slightly greener than that "Turquoise Tree", has
been set in sterling silver on a tree cut by hand. Melted balls of
silver decorate the tree as fruit, and the pendant hangs from a
handcrafted chain. The clasp is also handcrafted in the shape of a leaf,
and the hallmark is stamped on the back of the leaf. The chain is
fairly wide (but still open and light) which helps to
comfortably support the pendant around your neck, and the clasp can be
hooked onto any of the links, allowing the chain length to be altered
according to what you are wearing. The whole necklace has been lightly
oxidised to highlight the textures.
The tree pendant measures
approximately 7cm by 3.5cm and the chain is a maximum of 60cm long. This
unique necklace is hallmarked at Goldsmiths' Hall in London.
