Private tuition - student examples

I offer jewellery tuition on a one-to-one and, in the case of whole day tuition, on a one-to-two basis in my workshop at home, both during the week and at weekends.

I try to make each tuition session as relevant as possible for each person, and discuss with students what they would like to make before the day.

Two topics of tuition are available:

Silversmithing - whole and half days are available. Previous students have made bangles, rings, chains, earrings and stone settings. Silversmithing tuition is available for either one or two people at a time. See here for more details.

Keum Boo - Keum Boo is an ancient Korean technique that literally translates as 'attached gold'. 24k gold foil is bonded to fine silver through a combination of heat and pressure - no solder is used, and the process really is magical! It is a beautiful way of using gold in your designs without breaking the bank. This tuition is for a whole day, and is available for one or two people. See here for more details.


Getting to my workshop - I am based in Southampton, close to both junction 5 and junction 7 of the M27 - there is no junction 6! I am close to Southampton Parkway train station and Southampton Airport and can collect and drop off students there with prior arrangement.
